Cardiff Cycle City was established in January 2014. Cardiff Cycle City is a movement, rather than an organisation, bringing different individuals and groups together in one common vision: to make Cardiff the best cycling city in the UK.
We have regular meetings to which anyone and everyone can attend. If you fancy coming along then we meet on the last Wednesday of every month in Ride My Bike Cafe unless otherwise stated. Keep an eye on our Events pageĀ for details.
Plans, discussions and actions from these meetings will be summarised in a monthly post on our News page, as well as an email to our subscribers, so don’t worry if you can’t attend!
We also hold regular events related to cycling. In the past we have hosted talks from the people such asĀ transport planner Phil Jones, author Carlton Reid, and writer Jack Thurston. We also have talks from local councillors, such as Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning & Transport (and founder member of Cardiff Cycle City) Caro Wild.
In the lead up to the Welsh Assembly elections in 2016 we held a cycling hustings, to get official comment from party candidates on their commitment to cycling. We repeated the event the following year in the weeks leading to the 2017 council elections.
