We want your views on the priorities for making Cardiff a better city to ride a bike in.
About this event
We’re devoting our October meeting, to a discussion on what we need to do next to make our city the best in the UK for cycling. In particular we want to hear your views on the issues that matter most to you. More cycle lanes? Better bike parking? More filtered permeability? More school streets? Closing Castle Street to cars (again)?
Making most of what we want happen depends on the council. Cardiff Council has made real progress on active travel and has, in the past, been very good at engaging with cycling organisations. But how do we make sure that progress continues into the future? Come along to our meeting and have your say.
To get a different view on how the council operates, our guest speaker will be Cllr Rhys Taylor, Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrat Group on the council. Rhys will be giving us the benefit of his insight into how the council operates and helping us consider how we can push for more and faster progress.
The meeting is taking place at 6.00pm on Wednesday, October 26th in Pedal Power (Cardiff Caravan Park via Sophia Gardens or Off, Dogo St, Cardiff CF11 9LB).
Because space at Pedal Power is limited, admission will be strictly via the free Eventbrite tickets. We look forward to seeing you on the 26th.
