At this month’s meeting we will be be hosting a discussion with Transport for Wales about their approach to cycling.
TfW recently took over most of Wales’ railways from Arriva Trains Wales. We’re hoping they will have a more positive approach to combining bikes and public transport. We’re really pleased that Hugh Evans, their Stakeholder Manager, has agreed to come along to talk with us. Some of the issues we expect to come up are:
- Bikes on trains
- Secure bike storage at stations
- Safe access to stations by bike
- Development of Next Bikes at stations
- Will any plans for trams ensure the affected roads remain safe for cyclists.
But it’s your meeting so it’s up to you to bring up any items you think are relevant.
